Garth dabbled in radio at University of Toronto at Scarborough, hosting shows on the campus station CSCR and graduating with a degree in Drama and English. Garth also channeled his love of music into mashups and remixes of artists such as Trenyce, Mariah Carey and 80s cartoon sensation Jem & The Holograms.
More recently, Garth began the YouTube channel "Garth's Pop Culture OH!?" to discuss and celebrate experiences with movies, TV and music that impacted his coming of age, plus LGBT issues and how the past influences progress in the present. Garth lives north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
